Summer of 2024! Full Moon in Capricorn today. We need to stay grounded. We also need to take a little time to celebrate where we are. Give ourselves some slack! The journey to get here has been arduous at best. We need to relax and rest and get ourselves ready for the Fall and Winter of 2024. Yes, election year. Yes, climate surprises. Yes, New Moons and Full Moons and the Pluto heavy duty “changing of the guard”.

We are coming to the end of a long journey. The planet Pluto, in the sign of Capricorn has wrecked havoc on our planet as it’s journey broke down many of the structures we depended on. Pluto is considered to be the big Kahuna. The planet that brings death and transformation and rebirth. Anyone who has been anywhere on this planet since 2008 has experienced this phenomenon to some degree. Some of us more deeply than others. All of us in some aspects of our lives. The breakdown has been going on behind the scenes for many years. However, when Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, the breakdown became a breakup. We were definitely shaken down to the bare bones of our financial systems. 2008 was the beginning of what now see all around us. The banking systems, the health care system, the educational systems and nature itself going through massive change when Covid attacked our physical bodies and climate changes are now redefining how we live our lives.

While this big change with Pluto traveling through Aquarius (the innovator) is occurring there are other planets moving to new places in new signs as well. Jupiter, the planet bringing benefits is traveling through Gemini (the communicator). Saturn, along with Neptune, is traveling through Pisces (the compassionate). We have 4 major planets in air and water signs. The challenge here is to find ways of being grounded and centered within your own intuitive self. There is going to be a lot of different information and messages coming from everywhere. What to believe and who to believe and how to believe. Especially as we get closer to the Fall season. What are your true beliefs? This needs to be identified and embraced sooner than not.

It is June of 2024 and Pluto has just made its transition and traveled from the sign of Capricorn to the sign of Aquarius. First time since 1777. It has been quite a journey as it traveled through all of the signs of the zodiac before returning here. So you see this is monumental. And as always with movement of this magnitude it is an opportunity for a new beginning. We need to find ways to change to a better way to live on planet earth. We could ask what is the alternative to change …. stagnation? Not really viable.

We are wise beings. We must use our wise natures to make good decisions for ourselves and our loved ones. We survived a pandemic folks! It is time to move from surviving to thriving. We can only do this with peaceful conflict resolution and innovation! It is an exciting time and a scary time to be alive. 

The sign of Gemini can be the communicator of positive messaging. The sign of Pisces can bring a compassionate attitude so necessary in our lives today. The sign of Aquarius can bring new ideas to be implemented. Ideas supporting a higher level of consciousness. One which realizes the need for actions based not on destruction to gain control. This has brought us no lasting peace. We must create new more viable solutions.

As an astrologer for over 30 years I have experienced such powerful goodness and such powerful overwhelming challenges. And yet within it all I still believe in change for the better, change for the best of who we are is possible. Each of the twelve signs has special and individual gifts to bring to the table.
